Supply Chain Engineers (Distribution Management)
As a member of our distribution management (DM) group, you put your innovative problem solving skills to the test. DM Engineers collaborate with our customers to focus on designing new facilities, modifying existing layouts, implementing continuous improvement projects, establishing labor standards, and developing warehouse metrics. Some experience with Excel, Access, AutoCAD, Visio, SQL, VBA, a variety of WMS or Data Analytic applications, MTM or Standard Time Data studies, and the ability to implement onsite solutions across the country are helpful. A strong background in industrial engineering is critical.
Supply Chain Engineers (Transportation Management)
Our transportation engineers specialize in transportation network optimization to move products smoothly through the supply chain journey. With a strong focus on network design, modeling, and data analysis, you find innovative and effective ways to cut costs for some of the top brands in the nation. We are looking for candidates with a passion for data analysis and continuous improvement. You will get a chance to work with innovative supply chain software and tools. Successful candidates for these positions typically have experience in business, logistics, supply chain management, or industrial engineering. Familiarity with Appian Software, Llamasoft, or JDA Software would be beneficial.

Transportation Manager
As the liaison between our company and our clients, transportation managers handle all client-facing activities. Beyond strategy development and presentation, transportation managers develop and manage field support teams, monitor field performance, and innovate new ways to improve operations. Job requirements include: a bachelor’s Degree (preferred); knowledge of logistics and the ability to integrate supply chain components; experience conducting presentations and supervising others; working knowledge of TM capabilities used within assigned accounts (TM, CM, ROL, etc.); solid written and oral skills with a strong ability to work with others; experience with financials and a financial acumen; and an aptitude to gain further competency in statistical and/or transportation analysis tools (Minitab, SAS, Metlab, i2, Tmod, ILPS) and Ryder TM operating tools (TIS, i2TMS, Ryder On Line).
Transportation Analyst The transportation analyst is responsible for managing transportation management business processes (i.e. procurement, freight bill audit & payment, shipment planning & execution) to ensure Ryder's solutions meet customer requirements. This position handles repeatable analysis and tasks driving continuous cost and service improvement by recommending and implementing stated improvements. The position requires both customer and carrier interfacing and capable of representing Ryder in customer meetings. Freight Brokerage Account Executive The account executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and operating a portfolio of customers. The account executive develops an entry strategy and has full autonomy for targeted truckload & less than truckload customers. This position builds a strategy, as well as works hand-in-hand with strong mentors, talented local operations teams, and supply chain engineers to design, implement, and maintain best in class transportation solutions. You directly engage with supply chain leaders through our diverse customer base and within many of the world’s leading transportation service providers. Develop and maintain a tremendous network of service providers and be responsible to foster the relationship while engaging them on the best opportunities for mutual success. Data Science The data scientist wrangles data into a usable form, moves the interpretation of the data from descriptive and diagnostic into building prescriptive and predictive algorithms to solve Ryder's toughest problems. As a data scientist, you drive Ryder and our customer’s toward the cutting edge and prepare them for the future of logistics. You are an expert of algorithms and know the balance of the art of modeling. This position works with innovative data technology and is a key user on Ryder's Azure Data Lake driving the analytics initiatives as an expert in this field. The data scientist showcases their skills as an expert of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, by utilizing the perfect blend of data with the right use-cases to turn Ryder's data into concrete value-add for the business. On this team, a data scientist gets the chance to be the machine-learning expert, collaborating with data engineers and analysts, using all their skills in order to exploit data to drive the business forward. The scientist pushes the envelope of what is possible in the big data space; streaming live data into a data lake and experimenting with data in the data sandbox. As discoveries are made, the scientist helps facilitate the movement of the algorithms into a core solution to support the business. Data Engineering A data engineer interprets the business logic required to turn a complex idea into a sustainable value add process. The Data Engineer ensures the data is usable and viable with near real-time reporting, delivering solutions to the problems presented. The data engineer is expected to be an expert of systems. The position will work on cutting edge data technology by being a key contributor on Ryder's Azure Data Lake and analytics initiatives as an expert in this field. They will use their skills as an expert of data structures specific to transportation and warehouse operating systems and demonstrate how to turn this data into concrete value-add for the business. On this team, a data engineer will get the chance to be the expert of data, collaborating with data analysts and scientists, using all their skills in order to exploit data to drive the business forward. The engineer pushes the envelope of what is possible in the big data space for streaming live data into a data lake; moving data from raw replication, to cleansed, to an aggregated solution for the analytics team to leverage. Data Analysis A data analyst’s delivers a final business solution to the operations team through a Power Bi experience. The data analyst's technical skills will be put to the test as they shape data into a crispy design through a smooth user experience. The data analyst is expected to be a domain expert of supply chains and their use cases. This position works on cutting edge data technology as a key user on Ryder's Azure Data Lake driving the analytics initiatives as an expert in this field. Design critical analytical dashboards, reports and queries to drive strategic business decisions, ad-hoc analysis and identify descriptive and prescriptive solutions for internal Ryder teams and external customers. Dig deep into the core issues of business problems in order to drive a solution that gets at the heart of the causative problem. On this team, the Data Analyst will get the chance to be the expert of supply chain solutions, collaborating with Data Analysts and Scientists, using all the skills in order to exploit data to drive the business forward. This will push the envelope of what is possible within the big data space; streaming live data into a data lake and experimenting with data in the data sandbox.
