Ryder was named an industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency for demonstrating top environmental performance by effectively hauling freight with environmentally and energy efficient SmartWay carriers (2013-2014, 2017).

The EPA honored Bacardi USA with its SmartWay Excellence Award as an industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency in transportation logistics, together with its partner Ryder. The SmartWay Excellence Award, which is reserved for the top-performing SmartWay Partners, is the EPA’s highest recognition for demonstrated leadership in reducing overall carbon footprint through effective supply chain planning, operations, and use of transportation partners (2015-2016).
