This Job Applicant Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes our practices in connection with the personal information that Ryder collects from you in connection with your job application to and recruitment with Ryder.

We collect information directly from you during the recruitment and hiring process. This includes information that you give us when you create a profile in our application system, and information you provide when you apply or interview for a position.

We also collect information from you automatically when you use our website or mobile services. This information may not identify you personally. For example, we may collect IP address, browser or operating system information, and referring website. Our websites may use cookies, which are small text files stored on your computer that help us to maintain your session or provide other interactive features. Information Collected from Other Sources
We receive information about you from third-party sources to assist us with specific employment-related activities. For example, background reporting agencies may conduct background checks on our behalf and provide their results to us. Examples of the types of information contained in a background check may include your criminal, employment, and educational history, as well as information about your character, general reputation, personal characteristics, credit standing, and more. How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Information?
We will keep the personal information we collect about you for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice or any other notice provided at the time of data collection, but no longer than as required or permitted under applicable law or internal Ryder policy. We dispose of the information we collect in accordance with Ryder’s retention policies and procedures.

Ryder maintains appropriate technical and organizational measures, including, but not limited to, reasonably designed administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, designed to protect the personal information obtained as discussed in this Notice from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure and access. Ryder personnel and service providers with access to personal information collected as discussed in this Notice are required to keep such information confidential and secure.
Your Consumer Rights and Choices
Subject to certain limitations, you have the right to (1) request to know more about the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell, and to access your information, (2) request correction of your Personal Information, (3) request deletion of your Personal Information and (4) limit the use or disclosure of your sensitive personal information (SPI).
